Build a model of the Flying Scotsman - the most famous British steam locomotive and an icon of world railways! This unique model from COBI is a proposition for both adult collectors and younger fans of the history of technology.

In 1923, an A1-class locomotive rolled out of the Doncaster works. Designed by the eminent engineer Nigel Gresley, the Flying Scotsman quickly gained fame for its unprecedented performance at the time.

The locomotive holds two records for steam traction – on November 30, 1934, it became the first to officially reach a speed of 100 mph (160.9 km/h), and on August 8, 1989, during a visit to Australia, it ran 679 km without stopping

Despite the difficult times of World War II and changes in the railway industry, the Flying Scotsman survived, was restored and to this day serves as a traveling museum. In 2023, it celebrated its 100th anniversary as an active and fully functional steam locomotive – a national treasure of Great Britain, a symbol of the steam era and the triumph of engineering.

COBI AVRO Lancaster B. III Bomber 1:48 Scale Set #5759
MSRP: $144.99

The Avro Lancaster B Mk.I/III was a key element of the British bombing strategy during World War II. Its ability to carry large bomb loads, durability and versatility made it one of the most effective and versatile bombers used by the Allies. The new model has the markings of the Polish 300th Bomber Squadron "Ziemia Mazowiecka". Additionally, the model has movable propellers, retractable landing gear, opening bomb bay with block bombs, a block with the name of the set, a miniature reproduced interior and a figure of a Polish pilot from the 300th Bomber Squadron.

The Lancaster's design began with the Avro Manchester design, which was suffering from engine reliability problems. With the addition of two additional engines and other modifications, the Lancaster was born. The first Lancaster prototype (BT308) flew on 9 January 1941. The aircraft quickly proved superior to the Manchester and production of the Lancaster began the same year.

The Mk.I was the first production version, powered by Rolls-Royce Merlin XX engines. The Mk.III differed from the Mk.I mainly in its Packard Merlin engines, which were produced under licence in the USA. The Lancaster entered operational service in February 1942 with No. 44 Squadron RAF.

It quickly became the RAF's main bomber. Used primarily for night bombing, the Lancaster was key to many important bombing operations, including the bombing of Hamburg (Operation Gomorrah) and Dresden. Lancasters were used for various special missions, such as Operation Chastise (raids on dams), as well as for dropping heavy bombs, like the Grand Slam and Tallboy, which were capable of destroying heavily fortified targets.

300th Bomber Squadron "Ziemia Mazowiecka" was an important part of the Polish contribution to the Allied war effort during World War II. Its members fought with great sacrifice, and their courage and skill contributed to the RAF's successes in the bombing campaign against the Third Reich. The squadron remains a symbol of the Polish contribution to the fight for freedom and independence during one of the most difficult periods in history.

The cockpit has a reproduced interior, in which crew figures can be placed. Under the plane you can attach the famous "Bouncing Bomb" designed to destroy large-sized targets, such as water dams and submarine shelters. It was used on 17 May 1943 to destroy the German dams at Möhne and Eder by the 617th Bomber Squadron "Dam busters" (Operation Chastise). The set includes historical markings, a block display base with the name of the aircraft and three figures representing the aircraft's crew.

The Avro Lancaster was a heavy four-engine British bomber aircraft from World War II, built by A.V.Roe (Avro) and used from 1942 onward. Alongside the Handley Page Halifax, the Lancaster was the basic heavy bomber of the British Royal Air Force during World War II. The Lancaster is considered the most successful British heavy bomber. A total of 7,377 Avro Lancaster aircraft were produced.

In 1943, several Avro Lancaster aircraft were modified to carry out Operation Chastise. The aim of the operation was to destroy the dams in the Ruhr area in Germany in hopes of disrupting the supply of water and energy to German industry. Operation Chastise was innovative both technologically and tactically. It required precise low-altitude flying and precise bomb drops.

COBI Heinkel HE 111 H-22 Medium Bomber w/ V1 Flying Bomb: 1:48 Scale Set #5771
MSRP: $99.99

Air Retaliatory Weapons

The Heinkel He 111 medium bomber was one of the most important German bombers of the pre-war period and the early years of World War II. In 1944, the H-22 version was developed, adapted to carry the Fi 103 missile, known as the V1, under the wing.

Powered by a pulsejet engine and equipped with a warhead weighing approximately 900 kg, the V1 was initially launched from ground-based launchers. However, air-launch increased its range and operational flexibility. He 111 H-22 bombers operated primarily from the Netherlands, launching missiles towards Great Britain.

The Fi 103 was developed by German engineer Robert Lusser, previously associated with companies such as Heinkel and Messerschmitt. He co-created the V1 concept, and his work had a significant influence on the development of early cruise missiles.

What you'll find in the HEINKEL He 111 H-22 with V1 (Fieseler Fi 103) set:

A combination of aircraft and missile weapons - the set includes two models: the Heinkel He 111 bomber in the H-22 version and the underslung V1. This unique combination of classic bomber aviation and missile technology allows for a deeper understanding of the realities of the 1940s.

1:48 scale - two large, detailed models look great both in ground configuration and in dynamic "in-flight" display. This is a real treat for aviation history and military model enthusiasts.

840 pieces - building the model is a rewarding challenge, combining realistic proportions and detail with the pleasure of assembly. Each element has been carefully designed to faithfully capture the character of the original design.

Two Figures – The set includes two figures that allow you to recreate the historical context of the combat mission and the design process:

• Luftwaffe pilot – in a period-correct flight suit, brown gloves, and a pilot's cap with goggles, ready for takeoff.

• Robert Lusser – a German engineer responsible for the development of missile projects. The figure depicts him in civilian attire – a coat and hat – with distinctive glasses.

Scenery elements – an additional collectible asset is a desk with a lamp and magnifying glass, as well as plans for the V-weapon displayed on the tabletop. This is an ingenious addition to the Robert Lusser figure, perfect for a display case or historical diorama.

High-quality prints – all details, markings and symbols are printed directly onto the components without the use of stickers. This ensures the model retains its durable and aesthetic appearance even after prolonged display.

Distinctive design details – a glazed nose with a realistic interior, elliptical wings with a faithfully rendered profile, a suspended V1 flying bomb, movable rudders and ailerons and a replicated fuselage paint scheme with historical markings – capture the spirit of the original aircraft and rocket

Swordfish aircraft distinguished themselves in numerous engagements, including the Battle of Taranto and the attack on the battleship Bismarck.

The Aircraft Carrier HMS Ark Royal

One of the key bases for Swordfish aircraft was the aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal. She was a vital vessel in the Royal Navy fleet. At the outbreak of the war, she operated in both the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. It was from her flight deck that the aircraft launched to execute the decisive torpedo attack on the Bismarck.

The Hunt for the Bismarck

Operation Rheinübung, launched in May 1941, aimed to break the Allied stranglehold on the Atlantic. The battleship Bismarck and the cruiser Prinz Eugen were tasked with attacking Allied convoys. Following the sinking of HMS Hood, a dramatic hunt ensued. Winston Churchill issued a direct order: "Sink the Bismarck!"

On May 26, Swordfish aircraft from the Ark Royal attacked the Bismarck amidst severe weather conditions, damaging her steering mechanism. Crippled and unable to maneuver, the ship was overtaken by British naval units on May 27 and sunk.

An unassuming and slow biplane, yet it was the Fairey Swordfish that went down in history as one of the most effective aircraft of World War II. Now you can recreate this legend using building blocks and display on your shelf the very machine that played a pivotal role in one of the most dramatic naval chases in history. Build your own "Stringbag," discover the history of Operation Rheinübung, and let this Royal Navy legend take pride of place in your collection.

COBI Nieuport 17 C.1 Sesquiplane Fighter
1:32 Scale Set #2997
MSRP: $39.99

Nieuport's Success Story 17
In 1916, the French manufacturer Nieuport unveiled a new version of its fighter, the Model 17 C.1, equipped with a 110 hp Le Rhône engine. The aircraft was larger, more powerful, and faster than its predecessor, the Nieuport 11, while retaining excellent maneuverability and climb rates. It quickly became the primary fighter for Allied pilots.

In late 1916 and early 1917, the Nieuport 17 dominated the front lines. However, the rapid development of military technology quickly changed the situation. By mid-1917, the design had been surpassed by the more modern German Albatros D.III fighters, and in Allied squadrons, it was gradually replaced by new French biplanes, such as the Spad S.VII.

The Fighter Ace's Plane!

The COBI model is based on the Nieuport 17, whose markings indicate that it was flown by Georges Guynemer, the second-highest-scoring French fighter ace in World War I with 53 confirmed kills, who died in September 1917.

Interestingly, a replica of this aircraft is located at the Musée de Thiepval in France, where it serves as a memorial to Georges Guynemer.

Now you too can add this legendary aircraft to your collection of construction model kits. All you have to do is build it!

History of the Stryker vehicle

The development of the Stryker family of vehicles was a response to the need for a modern design that combined high mobility, effective crew protection and the capability for rapid troop deployment. The U.S. Army required the ability to deploy a Stryker-equipped brigade within 96 hours of receiving the order.

The name "Stryker" was chosen to honor two American soldiers awarded the Medal of Honor: Stuart S. Stryker, a World War II hero, and Robert F. Stryker, a Vietnam War hero.

COBI Sherman M4A3E2 "Jumbo" Tank 1:35 Scale
 Set #2550
MSRP: $59.99

The Sherman M4A3E2 "Jumbo" is a short series of well-armored tanks consisting of just 254 tanks. The Shermans were armed with a 75mm gun mounted on a modified M62 mount. The jumbo with its own name "Cobra King" was the one to receive the 76mm gun as well as the coaxial machine gun. It was issued to the 37th Tank Battalion, 4th Panzer Division at the end of October 1944 and was the tank of the commander of the C comrades. The tank became famous during the German offensive in the winter of 1944 in the Ardennes. It was the first to break through the German lines and reach the soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division surrounded in Belgian Bastogne. To commemorate this momentous event, the tank's crew painted a special graffiti, which was reproduced by the COBI with pad-printing. Some sources say that the tank took part in Operation Hammelburg, General Patton's secret mission, where it was destroyed in March 1945. For many years, the wreckage of the tank was exhibited on war memorials under incorrect markings. It was not until 2001 that military chaplain Keith Goode contributed to the uncovering of the true history of the anonymous wreckage. The tank has been painstakingly restored at The Patton Museum and is now located in Fort Benning, Georgia. In the Belgian Bastogne, however, a properly painted replacement for the famous Sherman "King Cobra" was installed.

This new set from COBI features 750 blocks and is fully decorated with pad-prints. There are NO stickers with this set! Particularly noteworthy is the very characteristic graffiti painted by the tank crew. The design perfectly reflects the original shapes of its historical prototype. Moving wheels and working tracks, opening hatches, access to a block engine, movable turret and barrel as well as two figures guarantee the satisfaction of owning this set and inspired by true history. The set also features a plate with the name of the vehicle.

The Panzerkampfwagen VI, or Tiger, was a German heavy tank from World War II. Its characteristic shape is still recognizable all over the world. The vehicle itself became a legend and is still present not only in historical materials, but also in pop culture. The first Tigers reached the front near Leningrad and in Tunisia in August/September 1942. The tank designed and manufactured by Henschel was very modern and effective. Unfortunately, its production consumed huge resources of valuable raw materials and time. The Tiger I tanks and the few Tiger IIs had a significant impact on the course of war operations. The infamous and incredibly fearsome Tigers destroyed over 10,300 Allied tanks and 11,380 guns, with only 1,725 of their own losses.

The Great War ushered in the era of steel elephants, which continues to this day. It was then that the design of one of the first tanks was born: MARK I (Male) number C.19. You can build the prototype of all future tanks with 878 COBI construction blocks. The set includes a figure of a British tank driver from the Great War period and a plate with the name of the set and the logo of The Tank Museum, which houses the original tank on which we modeled this set.

The British Mark I tank (Male version) was produced in 1916 during the Great War. It was one of the first tanks used in military history. The designation "Male" in the name meant that it was a variant of the tank equipped with a combination of cannons located in turrets on the sides of the vehicle and machine guns. The "Female" versions of this type of tank were equipped with multiple machine guns only.

The vehicle was powered by a gasoline engine that allowed it to travel at speeds up to 4 miles per hour. It was slow and bulky, but its armor provided some protection against enemy infantry small arms. The Mark I (Male) no C.19. tank was first used in combat in 1916 at the Battle of the Somme during World War I.

Its main goal was to break through enemy fortifications, destroy barbed wire and support the infantry in capturing positions. Although it was not a perfect combat vehicle, its presence on the battlefield played an important role in the evolution of war strategy. The Mark I tank is a must-have for history and armor enthusiasts and a beautiful model for a collection dedicated to the Great War. Build history, piece by piece, with COBI.

COBI 184 Ferdinand Tank Destroyer 1:28 SCALE #2583
MSRP: $119.99

The first version of the German heavy tank destroyer was named Ferdinand after its designer Ferdinand Porsche. The block model of this very famous vehicle from the Second World War was designed on a scale of 1:28 using 1,268 elements and is an impressive 28.5 cm long. The blocks and the figure contain high-quality prints, too. You won't find stickers here! The functionalities of the model include a removable block replica of the engine, working tracks, a cannon that can be moved vertically and horizontally, recreated interior elements and opening hatches. The set also includes a detailed figure of the vehicle commander with accessories like binoculars and headphones. The whole set is complemented by a plate with the name of the vehicle printed on it. The detailed and very large model of a heavy tank destroyer is a must-have for collectors and history enthusiasts, alike.

The Panzerjäger Tiger (P) Ferdinand was a German heavy tank destroyer used during World War II. It was constructed on the chassis of the Tiger I tank. Serial production began in 1943. Ferdinands took part in battles on the Eastern Front and during the Battle of Kursk. The tank destroyers were armed with the powerful 88mm PaK 43/2 L/71 anti-tank gun, which made them effective against almost all enemy vehicles. Thick armor also provided good protection for the vehicle. Despite their impressive statistics, Ferdinands also had some drawbacks. These include limited mobility, susceptibility to failures and attacks by enemy infantry. After the Battle of Kursk, many of these vehicles were modernized and used in subsequent phases of the war. The Panzerjäger Tiger (P) Ferdinand was one of the most powerful German vehicles to appear on the battlefield during World War II. However, the role it played in the war was limited due to the small production of this model. Despite this, the vehicle still ignites the imagination of history and military technology enthusiasts. It is also one of the most recognizable vehicles from the Second World War. Build history, piece by piece, with COBI!

COBI EXECUTIVE EDITION PzKpfw VI Ausf. E Panzer Tank 1:12 Scale 8000 pieces.
Set #2807
MSRP: $699.99

The Pz.Kpfw. VI "Tiger" number 114 located in the Musée des Blindés in Saumur, France, is one of the most valuable exhibits of this museum. Tiger tanks were among the most famous and dangerous armored machines used by Germany during World War II. They were known for their powerful armament, especially the 88mm gun, and the thick, well-sloped armored shield. This particular example, marked with the number 114, is one of the few preserved in the world, which makes it extremely valuable both historically and technologically. This tank took part in combat on the Eastern Front and was later captured by Allied forces. In the Saumur Museum it is carefully preserved, and visitors can admire it in one of the hangars, where other historic armored vehicles are also displayed.

The new Tiger with the side number "114" has outclassed its 1:12th predecessor with the number "131". The new Tiger has a completely new camouflage, which will please every fan of the Panzerwaffe. Why? It is universal, so it will fit perfectly into the realities of the 1944 front in the east, west or south.

The new tank has an improved chassis and running gear, as well. This is not only about new wheels, designed especially for this set, but also about replacing the torsion bars, which are now more durable and resistant to the weight of this giant. We have also introduced a lot of smaller and larger changes characteristic of the late E version. The best example is the change to the commander's hatch.

It is smaller and at its side there is an MG34 machine gun, designed for anti-aircraft purposes.

With 8,000 elements and considerable dimensions, this set is in a class of its own. When assembled, the Tiger 114 is almost 70 cm long and weighs almost 6 kilograms. This impressive result is not all, either. The new standard is set by a carefully reproduced interior, excellent exterior design, completely new elements and great functionality. The interior of the tank is meticulously reproduced in every corner, from the ammunition compartment to the main gun, knobs, switches and even the incredibly photorealistic engine. The Maybach HL230 engine itself has been reproduced to the smallest detail from 300 elements and could be released as a separate set. Just let us remind you that some planes from the Historical Collection series have 300 elements, and in our new Tiger you will build the engine alone from this many blocks! The exterior also raises the bar in terms of accuracy of proportions and details, which only a set of this size can provide. The set also contains many completely new and movable elements. These include the rotating turret, movable gun and opening hatches. The wheels and tracks work exactly as in the original museum model! Although we have done similar things for other tanks at COBI (especially in 1:28 scale), the Tiger "114" together with its predecessor with the number "131" represents a new level of design, photorealism and impressive size and precision.

Needless to say, this is another milestone for us at COBI. The set we are happy to announce was developed in cooperation with the Musée des Blindés in Saumur. We hope that both collectors and COBI fans will have as much fun building and displaying the "114" as we did designing and creating it. For all those who love tanks, military technology and history, this is an opportunity to bring home a BIG piece of military lore. Build history yourself, piece by piece, with COBI.

Utilizing the urban landscape, barricades and fortifications, German forces desperately defended the capital of the Third Reich in an attempt to halt the Red Army's advance.

The fighting took place under extremely harsh conditions—amidst ruined streets, burnt-out buildings and under constant artillery fire. Every section of the city became a battlefield and engagements frequently took the form of close-quarters combat. Soviet forces played a pivotal role in the capture of Berlin; their numerical and material superiority ultimately led to the breaching of the German defenses.

The second is an older man clad in a military greatcoat and a classic grey Stahlhelm (steel helmet). He bears visible, bleeding head wounds wrapped in a bandage. He is armed with a Mauser 98K carbine. These figures allow for a realistic recreation of scenes depicting positional warfare within a besieged city.

Our model consists of 508 high-quality elements and includes prints that do not wear off even during intensive use. The model is equipped with rolling wheels, which significantly increase the attractiveness of the set. A transport vehicle cannot function without a load, and that's why the American soldier driving the amphibious vehicle carries a lot of accessories that every fan of building blocks will be happy to have. A bazooka, Browning, Garand, Thomson and M1 rifles and binoculars are not all. The cargo area also contains crates, barrels, canisters and a spare wheel. The whole set is complemented by two large barbed wires.

The DUKW, also known as the "Duck", was an amphibious transport vehicle used primarily by the United States Army during World War II. Its production began in 1942. It was based on the design of a GMC truck, with an additional drive system enabling it to move both on land and in water. It had a characteristic flat bow that made it easier to float.

The DUKW was widely used during sea landings, land operations and for transport in flooded areas. Its ability to move on water and land made it a very versatile vehicle in combat conditions. The vehicle was powered by a high-power gasoline engine, which allowed it to reach a maximum speed of approximately 80km/h on land and 10km/h in water. It could accommodate up to 25 people or 2.25 tons of cargo.

After the end of World War II, the DUKW continued to be used by American troops in conflicts such as the Korean and Vietnam Wars. It was also exported to other countries and used for civilian purposes such as maritime tourism and rescue. DUKW is regarded as an icon of World War II. Some examples have been preserved as museum exhibits, and the vehicle is still widely used in historical reconstructions and military events.

COBI PATROL BOAT, RIVER MK II 1:35 Scale SET #2238
MSRP: $49.99

The Patrol Boat, River (also known as patrol boat, riverine or PBR) was an American boat used to patrol rivers and transport soldiers. Its characteristics were very small immersion, which owed m.in. to the fiberglass hull and water jet propulsion allowing to swim on the sees. The boat reached a top speed of 28.5 knots (53 km / h 32 mph). The crew consisted of four soldiers. Typically, a first-class officer served as a boat captain with a gunner, mechanic and sailor on board. The lack of ice armor compensated for quite a lot of firepower. The equipment usually included a double-coupled M2HB 0.50 12.7 mm on the bow and a single M2HB on the stern. In addition, the crew had a grenade launcher and a set of M16 rifles at their disposal. There were also stronger configurations. The boats were used by the U.S. Navy until the 1990s. They are still popular with civilians.

On board is a weapon in the form of M2HB brick rifles. The model includes a full crew of four soldiers with accessories and personal weapons. Fans of COBI bricks will surely see in addition to the fabric another novelty, which is the new pattern of the flag fluttering! Once built, the boat measures 28 cm long. It is a great complement to the VIETNAM WAR collection. The brick model of the patrol boat does not require gluing or painting. All graphics and inscriptions are printed in the form of very durable prints that do not clash or fade under the influence of sun, water or even very intense fun. No stickers were used in the model. The set is sure to bring a lot of satisfaction to both the youngest fans of bricks, as well as adult enthusiasts of history and nautical science. The patrol boat model will certainly look spectacular both on the collector's desk and in the room of every teenager and child.
